When the ticking time bomb of Daniel Demoy’s immoral life finally crashes around him, he discovers he has beaten a man to within an inch of his life. But fate has plans for Daniel’s redemption in this gripping new three-part drama series starring Christopher Eccleston,

Daniel Demoys (Eccleston) has had it all – a loving wife Katie (Kirwan), children, and the chance to make the world a better place. Over the years he has gone from being an idealistic young man to a disillusioned and corrupt council official. His alcoholism and drug addiction are fast driving a wedge between him and his family. But the deadly fallout of his alcohol-fuelled actions is about to change his life forever.

When Daniel wakes up after another drunken night, he realises that he might be responsible for a murder.

But then a dramatic act of redemption buys him public adoration, so much so that he has become a candidate in the race for mayor, persuaded by council official Jerry Durrans (Bremner), and lawyer sister Lucy (Marshal).

Daniel has been set on the unlikely path to being elected his city’s first political mayor. But he remains a man with the blackest of secrets, desperate to redeem himself.
