Is it that time of year already?
30 Rock‘s Tina Fey and Parks & Recreation‘s Amy Poehler will jointly host the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards in January.
Fey has has in the past turned down requests to host the Academy Awards but she and Poehler, are friends and former Saturday Night Live and Baby Mama stars, both with shows on NBC.
“Having both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on board to host this year’s festivities is a major coup,” Paul Telegdy from NBC Entertainment said in a statement. “Tina and Amy have a proven chemistry and comedic timing from their many years together on SNL to their successful co-starring roles in Baby Mama.”
The female double follows this year’s awards presented by Ricky Gervais for the third time.
Seth MacFarlane was recently announced as host of the 2013 Oscars.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association will stage the 70th Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 13th, with nominations to be announced on December 13th.

Reason to tune in.
Tina Fey/Amy Poehler are hosting the Golden Globes? Thanks for making me not want to watch. They are bad! I’d rather Ricky again.
So happy for this news – love these women!
Catherine Deveny to host the Logies
Happy to read this – over Gervais in the role. Time for a change. Two of the funniest women – throw in Julia Louis Dreyfus and you have a movie! Loved her Emmy speech and Poehler’s playing along. Classic
Good stuff – I’m a big fan of these two, they’re smart, funny & sexy (I think). What with Seth MacF. doing the Oscars I’m actually going to watch these awards shows for once.
If only the presenters weren’t being constantly interrupted by those pesky awards!
my waning love of award shows just got reinvigorated – love these women.
now maybe the hfpa will pay a little more attention to ‘parks and recreation’.
Ricky actualy hosted the Globes 3 times (2010-2012)
Sorry to sound so pedantic, but he was so good he deserves credit for all 3.
Can’t wait for Tina and Amy though. Sounds interesting.
Consider myself slapped! Thanks and corrected.
