Victorians raised more than $16.4m for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal yesterday.
$16,405,534.65 was pledged, topping 2012’s $15.8m.
The annual appeal, which was first staged in 1931, was supported by Channel Seven, the Herald Sun and 3AW 693/ Magic 1278.
Channel Seven personalities appeared across the 15 hour broadcast, visiting children at the hospital, taking calls in the phone room and signing autographs for thousands of people who had travelled to Etihad Stadium to join in the activities.
More than 200 Seven staff worked on the event

@muscledude_oz: I missed most of the telecast apart from some of the evening component… which Channel Nine and Ten people were featured on the appeal?
It wasn’t just Seven personalities who appeared during the telecast, Nine and Ten allowed their people to appear as well.
Well done HSV7, and all. Good seeing ABC24 giving it promos during the day.
