Rudd & Abbott to cook-up in Kitchen Cabinet

ABC announces two more Kitchen Cabinet episodes with Rudd & Abbott cooking up a meal for Annabel Crabb.

13ancABC has announced two special episodes of Kitchen Cabinet will air in the final week of the campaign: one with Kevin Rudd and another with Tony Abbott in their own homes.

Head of Entertainment Jennifer Collins said “Annabel Crabb has discovered that the best way to get to know a leader outside of campaign rhetoric is to sit down and have dinner with them. This election, viewers will decide who can deliver the goods in the kitchen.”

“Election campaigns are such frenetic events. Everything operates at such an incredible pace, and it’s a real luxury in the middle of all that to be able to change gear and talk to these two leaders over a meal, in their own homes,” Crabb said.

“Both Mr Rudd and Mr Abbott have led extraordinary lives and collectively have spent almost three and a half decades in politics. I have always wanted to ferret about in their kitchens, and I’m so pleased they’ve consented.”

I guess no sign of a parma with Clive Palmer. Or pie.

Part One will feature Opposition Leader Tony Abbott and will air on Wednesday, 4 September at 8pm on ABC1.

Part two will feature Prime Minster Rudd and will air on Thursday, 5 September at 8pm on ABC1.

  1. I don’t remember seeing Annabel Crabb on Q&A. I think it would be more interesting to have Rudd and Abbott on the same episode – cooking together.

  2. Annabel Crabb is such a talent…love her, in this show, on the drum, as a panelist on Q&A. She’s just brilliant, hope to see her star rise further in years to come and certainly hope shes a bit part of ABC’s election night coverage.
