Airdate: Political Animals

One for the PVR? US miniseries Political Animals created by Greg Berlanti stars Sigourney Weaver as a former first lady.

2013-10-07_1945Buried in your TV guide tomorrow night is US miniseries Political Animals created by Greg Berlanti (Brothers and Sisters, Eli Stone, No Ordinary Family, Arrow) and starring Sigourney Weaver as a former first lady and current Secretary of State.

It starts 11:30pm Wednesday on Nine.

A mini-series based around a divorced former First Lady, Elaine, who is currently serving as the Secretary of State. She must silence a reporter who has incriminating evidence of her suicidal son.

This was recently nominated for three Emmy Awards, including a Supporting Actress win for Ellen Burstyn.

This is a six episode drama.

Could be a good one for your PVR.

  1. I had a look at the promo and it isn’t for me (a shock given it’s a USA Network show). But I guess when Nine saw that there was finally a USA Network show produced by WB they jumped at the chance to get it given the rest of USA’s shows are on Seven (with Seven having the Universal output deal) and TEN (the more action packed series – Burn Notice, White Collar, In Plain Sight). Will be interesting to see it’s consolidated ratings.

  2. I can’t find this listed on the zeebox guide or anywhere else locally (Canberra) such a shame. It’s a good series/mini-series and would definitely recommend people see it. Maybe rent it from the local dvd store or buy it if it’s available at JB.

  3. Was trying to find this the other day, but low and behold its not being shown on the sad excuse that is WIN. I have moved just out of reach of Nine and can’t wait for the reach rule to end. It seems I will have to watch it on catch up from the Nine network. If its WIN you lose. Just a little aggrieved here so ignore me.
