Shane Jacobson is guest tomorrow night on Julia Zemiro’s Home Delivery, heading back to the western burbs of Melbourne.

If home is where the heart is, Shane Jacobson’s heart is firmly in Melbourne’s Western suburbs. Shane takes Julia back to his Avondale Heights childhood home. His mother and stepfather, Jill and David, are still living there, and are happy to shed some secrets about Shane’s childhood.

The pair visit the community hall where Shane first dibbed and dobbed, and found a passion for performance. They visit his father, Ron, at his boxing gym, and the technical college where he occasionally squeezed in time for a more formal education. Through this half-hour trip down memory lane, we learn why Shane Jacobson has become such a local, and national, hero.
