The 2013 Australian Walkley Awards will screen later this month in a special pop-up broadcast on ABC3, hosted by Emma Alberici at the Royal International Convention Centre in Brisbane.
ABC Director of Television Richard Finlayson said: “This is the first time that we will be using ABC3 as an ‘after-hours special broadcast event channel’. This is a great way for ABC TV to support the awards night and to bring the Walkleys to a new and wider audience.”
To watch the special pop-up broadcast event, viewers will need to tune into Freeview channel 23 or channel 723 on Foxtel.
For the first time, the Walkley Awards will also be available online on the night and streamed at www.abc.net.au/walkleys .
The stream will be accessible at 9.00pm (AEDT). The geo-block will be lifted so that Walkley finalists who live overseas will also be able to view the broadcast.
Thursday November 28 at 9.00pm (local time). Highlights replay on ABC1 at 1.00pm Saturday November 30, 11.00pm Sunday December 1.
