Tonight’s episode of SBS foreign affairs show Dateline has promised “explosive claims” from an ex-Manus Island migration agent.
Mark Davis speaks exclusively with former migration agent from Manus Island, Liz Thompson.
Thompson, who resigned from her position after the recent riots and death of an asylum seeker, makes explosive allegations around the procedures and processing of asylum seekers at Manus.
Also on tonight, Dateline travels to Cairo with the brother of journalist Peter Greste, where the Australian journalist is awaiting trial on terrorism charges. Plus, Nick Lazaredes will join the program live from the streets of Bangkok for an update on their violent anti-government protests.
Tonight at 9.30pm on SBS ONE.

Why would the papers do that to SBS? Because I thought they only had a hate on for the ABC. I thought SBS gets largely overlooked. Of course maybe I’m wrong.
And tomorrow the papers will be reporting members of the government calling for SBS to be shut down.
Why would Sunday Night replace an interview with INXS with over 2m viewers with a piece on Snowden watched by a handful of viewers?
Not much point in criticising the commercial networks for proving viewers with they want to watch.
The governments ‘no comment’ policy was always going lead to networks having a lot of fun with it.
Last week was great with the Snowdon interview. One would think “60Minutes” or “Sunday Night” would pursue stories like this, rather than the “celebrity” promo pieces they fill their hour with.
