Studio 10 set for primetime election episode in Adelaide

Studio 10 will be returning to Adelaide with a primetime edition for the South Australian election.

2013-09-16_0024TEN’s morning show Studio 10 will be returning to Adelaide this month with a primetime edition for the South Australian election.

Studio 10 Executive Producer, Rob McKnight, said: “Since it launched in November, Studio 10 has changed morning TV with a smart, fun show that covers breaking news second to none.

“Already, Studio 10 has been the leader in rolling news with the sad death of Nelson Mandela and the release of Schapelle Corby. Now we will bring that level of expertise to covering the South Australian election.”

Studio 10 will broadcast the pre-eminent election coverage from Network Ten’s Hutt Street Studios on Saturday, March 15, with a live studio audience. It will be seen on TEN from 5:30pm local time, streamed live on www.advertiser.com.au and simulcast live on FIVEaa.

The coverage will be hosted by Studio 10’s Sarah Harris and Joe Hildebrand and Adelaide’s TEN Eyewitness News Presenter Rebecca Morse. The hosts will be joined on the panel by FIVEaa’s breakfast presenter and The Advertiser and Sunday Mail Opinion Columnist David Penberthy, FIVEaa’s Afternoon Presenter Will Goodings and political guests throughout the evening.

Working across television, radio and online, Studio 10’s coverage on election night will provide the most comprehensive analysis, reporting and running expert commentary.

As well as live crosses to TEN Eyewitness News reporters around Adelaide’s electoral districts, the panel will also cross to The Advertiser and Sunday Mail newsroom as Sunday Mail Editor Andrew Holman, Head of News Paul Starick and State Political Editor Daniel Wills give the latest analysis and up-to-date coverage.

TEN Eyewitness News’ Rebecca Morse said: “It is very exciting for our news team to be joining forces with Studio 10 and our local print and radio media outlets for the election coverage. This joint production will give voters the most accessible and in-depth coverage, combining the best of news with political discussion from many experts.”

  1. I am actually really liking this show I now have switched over from today, I think the cast is great they all bond and gel very well the format is good it’s a different style of Morning tv! Go studio 10!

  2. @IronicReference:
Studio 10 its heaps better than “mornings” and “the morning show” because the presenters personalities work so well together. And the infomercials are presented in a more homely/less wooden way. Morning TV is like morning radio- not everyone’s going to like it, but I think you’re just joining the rest of the media and kicking Ten while it’s down.

  3. This show has been a disaster. Joe and Sarah are right wing hacks of the worst and blandest variety. Sarah feels good about herself because she expresses some boring socially progressive views, but her admiration of homophobe and idiot Miranda Devine says it all. Ita will either become a Liberal politician or will be given a job by the Liberal government when the show is axed. Her rants against the ABC for asking too may questions and women who force men to cheat demonstrate she’s lost it (if she ever had “it”). Jess is quite lovely but the other three treat her like she’s the dopey panelist when really they are. She also isn’t in a position to shoot them down in the way they require. The Circle was a good show. This is a mess.

  4. They’re going to Adelaide for the election? Are any of the breakfast/morning shows going to do any features or reports about the FitX fitness expo in Melbourne this weekend?
