Former judge Matt Lee also choreographs a routine for the Top 10.

Our very own judge Jason Gilkison, is bringing his global ballroom dancing phenomenon back home, with a spectacular performance on the So You Think You Can Dance Australia stage this Thursday, April 10 at 7.30pm.

Before So You Think You Can Dance Australia brought ballroom dancing into our lounge rooms, one sizzling show was setting stages ablaze around the globe. Now in its 15th year and touring Perth this month, with four ensembles performing around the world at any one time, Burn The Floor is the ultimate high-voltage dance experience, exploding with jaw-dropped choreography, heart-pounding music and breathtaking moves.

On the performance, Jason said: “I am so incredibly excited to Burn The Floor on the show, after their record breaking season on Broadway and the West End. We have flown in some of our best cast members from around the world, including three Top 10 dancers from the US version of So You Think You Can Dance, and our very own Season One and Three winners Jack Chambers and Robbie Kmetoni. I don’t want to give too much away but there will be a surprise appearance during the performance that is definitely worth tuning in for.”

Continuing with the sizzling heat on our stage, don’t miss the return of former So You Think You Can Dance Australia judge Matt Lee who’s back this week to choreograph a special Top 10 jazz routine to Ella Fitzgerald’s Too Darn Hot.

7:30pm Thursday on TEN.

  1. The reason no one has seen a promo for this is because so few people watch Ten these days. I’ve seen a couple while watching The Project but not for this specifically which makes me think this is a late development? At some point, Ten really need to start paying TV Tonight/David Knox for doing almost all his marketing for him.

As for the “special”, hopefully it picks up some extra viewers but what the show needs now is super big name performers, and I mean seriously big names to attract more eyeballs, especially in the lead up to the finale in just over a month.
