US sci-fi drama Almost Human has been axed by FOX.
Set to screen in Australia on GO!, the series sees Los Angeles Police Department officers partnered with human-like androids in 2048.
Starring Karl Urban and Michael Ealy and produced by J.J. Abrams (Lost, Person of Interest, Revolution) and J.H. Wyman (Fringe), it launched well with 9.2 million total US viewers but had dropped to 5.63 million viewers by its finale. Bad Robot…
There are 13 episodes all up.
GO! is yet to reveal its premiere date.

I’d be interested in watching it. Including in a later timeslot. Although maybe they could try it before The Originals first as an initial idea. If they do play it.
Such a shame – I dug this show. Urban is a heck of a sci-fi action hero!
Presumably GO! will air this at midnight in about 12 months time.
“Bad Robot…”
You’ve been on fire today, Mr Knox!
I don’t suppose I’ll win any friends by pointing out that androids are technically robots in the form of human males. Female-form robots are called gynoids.
I liked this show but scifi and Fox don’t mix. Yeah and what’s with Fox showing it out of order, lets not forget Firefly!
I actually liked this show, again though Fox thought showing episodes out of order …… would make it more appealing?
I was really looking forward to this so this sucks. In saying that, GO!’s ultra fast tracking from the U.S. [sarcasm] means I can’t comment on whether or not the show deserved the axe.
