New crime, lifestyle titles for Foxtel.

Foxtel has acquired more than 250 hours of crime and lifestyle content.

2014-05-26_2310Foxtel has acquired more than 250 hours of crime and lifestyle content from Canada’s Cineflix Productions.

Crime series include season two of 6-part docudrama Murder in Paradise, plus Last Seen Alive (6×60’, Cineflix Productions), Obsession: Dark Desires (10×60’, October Films), Surviving Evil (season 2, 10×60’, Cineflix Productions), Unusual Suspects (seasons 1, 5 and 6, 39×60’, LMNO Productions), and Cold Blood (seasons 2 and 3, 36×60’, Cineflix Productions).

Lifestyle programming includes Property Brothers (seasons 1, 2 and 4, 65×60’, Cineflix Productions), and Buying & Selling (seasons 1 and 2, 39×60’, Cineflix Productions).

The deals were negotiated by Chris Bluett, VP sales, Asia Pacific and Benelux at Cineflix Rights and Jim Buchan, general manager of Factual channels at Foxtel.

Chris Bonney, CEO Rights, Cineflix Media said: “Australia is a key market for Cineflix Rights and we’re really pleased to be continuing our long-running relationship with such a great partner as Foxtel through this latest deal.

“The number of hours in the deal demonstrates the strength of our catalogue, particularly in the crime and lifestyle genres which are proving so successful for broadcasters in all territories.”
