Comedian Kathy Griffin is currently a frontrunner to succeed Joan Rivers when Fashion Police returns in 2015.
Comedically, she is the obvious choice, but it’s important she fills the fashion brief too.
Griffin has told The Hollywood Reporter that she has had conversations with the E! network, though nothing formal.
“I want to do a great job if I do it, obviously,” she said earlier. “I can tell you that I hope they continue the tradition of my good friend and have someone lead the show with a fearless brand of comedy.”
“People watched the show for Joan, and what she brought was so unique. We had many, many conversations about how when you are a female stand-up, you have more [creative] license,” she said. “I love fashion, but it’s a topic you have to make fun of.”

I thought she was tied for the lead with an American real housewife ?
Has this story developed further David?
Not that I have noticed.
