Dateline returns next week in its new half-hour format.
The controversial revamp follows staff being made redundant last year and the exit of both host Anjali Rao and Executive Producer Peter Charley.
SBS Managing Director rejected suggestions show would would compromise its excellent track record in international affairs.
The show is now executive produced by Bernadine Lim.
The award-winning documentary program allows viewers to walk in the shoes of others in search of the shocking, inspiring and surprise in every global story.

I was a regular viewer when Yalda was there, but it just wasn’t the same when she left and I gradually stopped watching. For whatever reason Anjali didn’t resonate with me, which was a factor too. It’s been a standout show over its many years, which is why i’ll give it another go.
