As previously rumoured, Melissa Rivers will join the Fashion Police panel, effectively replacing her late mother, Joan Rivers (Kathy Griffin quit earlier this year after a short stint).
She will join Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski while continuing to serve as an executive producer.
E! also plans to rotate in celebrity guests when the show returns for six episodes, in late August.
“As an executive producer since the beginning, Melissa helped shape Fashion Police into an iconic TV series that couples fashion with comedy,” said Jeff Olde, E! exec vic-president in programming and development.
“We are pleased to now also feature Melissa in front of the Fashion Police cameras, as she joins returning panelists Giuliana and Brad. And with the added flavor of rotating panelists, the show will deliver fresh, different and unpredictable fashion reviews with each new episode.”
Kelly Osbourne also quit the show earlier this year following remarks by Giuliana Rancic.

The show was built around Joan’s personality, so better to let it go.
I love the show, but really, it should not have returned after Joan’s passing. I wish E! would just leave Fashion Police alone.
