Kirstie Alley has been cast in Will Arnett’s new comedy, Flaked.
The 8 part series is coming to Netflix in 2016.
She will play the mother of David Sullivan’s character — the best friend of Arnett’s ‘Chip’. ‘Jackie’ is described as free-spirited and slightly wayward, with an appetite for male affection has always been a problem for her son.
Set in the insular world of Venice, California, Flaked is the serio-comic story of a self-appointed “guru” who falls for the object of his best friend’s fascination. Soon the tangled web of half-truths and semi-bullshit that underpins his all-important image and sobriety begins to unravel. Arnett plays Chip, a man doing his honest best to stay one step ahead of his own lies.
“We’re very excited to partner with Netflix -the home of original, original content- and the network I knew would be the ideal home for this passion project,” Will Arnett has said previously.
Arnett, also stars in Netflix’s BoJack Horseman and Arrested Development.
