Airdate: Game Shakers

Next month Nickelodeon will premiere a new US comedy series, Game Shakers, as two 12-year-old girls use their middle-school science project becomes the most successful mobile game of the year.

Created by the prolific Dan Schneider, this premiered in the US in September.

Game Shakers sees Babe (Cree Cicchino) and Kenzie (Madisyn Shipman) create Sky Whale, the world’s most popular mobile game. With the help of their best friend Hudson (Thomas Kuc), world-famous rapper Double-G (Kel Mitchell – Kenan & Kel) and his son Triple-G (Benjamin Flores Jr. – The Haunted Hathaways), the girls use the profits from their game to start their own mobile gaming company. Now, Babe and Kenzie must keep their gaming business a success while still managing to get good grades at school.

Nickelodeon alumni, Kel Mitchell makes his channel return in the new series, Game Shakers created by Dan Schneider, the man behind Nickelodeon hits such as Kenan & Kel, Sam & Cat, Victorious and iCarly. Following the premiere, new episodes will continue to air every weekday at 5:30pm.

In the premiere episode “Sky Whale”, Babe and Kenzie’s school project, Sky Whale, becomes an accidental viral video game hit. However, when rap superstar Double G realises they used his song without his permission, he comes to collect his share of the profits.

Viewers can play Sky Whale on iOS and Android by downloading the app for free. Additional games that feature in the series will be available to play online at www.nick.com.au. Fans can also find quizzes, exclusive behind the scenes clips and images.
