ABC has appointed Alicia Olson-Keating as Head of Audience Insights, in a role replacing Lisa Walsh who vacated as Head of Audience Research earlier this year.
Olson-Keating has 28 years of experience in Media Research and Audience including Vice President of Strategic Research at CBS and General Manager of Research and Marketing Services for Astral Media in Canada.
She was most recently Senior Director of Research with Canada’s Bell Media, focusing on cross platform research and maximising audience growth.
ABC Director of Audience and Marketing Leisa Bacon said: “I am delighted to welcome Alicia Olson-Keating to the Audience & Marketing team, as Head of Audience Insights. Alicia brings a wealth of international experience, and a reputation as an industry expert in integrated audience insights.”
Olson-Keating added, “This is a very interesting and exciting time in audience measurement. I am very happy to be joining the Audience and Marketing team, working with the broader ABC to deepen our understanding of our audience reach and engagement in a changing media environment. It is wonderful to have this opportunity to work at the ABC.”
She begins today.

I wonder how much the management consultancy company that came up with that title took out of the ABC’s meagre annual budget?
The ABC gets well over $1.15 Billion a year, not meagre, particularly when they , as you say, can get a management consultancy company that came up with that title …….
I was being sarcastic…………
Sounds like something from the BBC spoof W1A.
