Young Australian journalist Maddie Parry immerses herself in some of Australia’s most controversial workplaces – a brothel, an abortion clinic and Tasmania’s unique forests in a new 3 part seeries for ABC2 in December.

“We are often defined by our jobs; the question most people are asked at a first meeting is ‘what do you do for work?’ and there are some jobs that deal with the hidden, complicated and messy parts of life. The parts we don’t like looking at. In this series I go to work those jobs, and to meet the people who do them,” she said.

Maddie Parry: Inside the Clinic
Maddie explores one of our remaining taboos – abortion. Working at a clinic she meets the staff who provide abortions, people who think the choice shouldn’t exist and women making one of the hardest decisions of their lives.
