ABC drama The Code is getting a US adaptation.
FOX is developing a script of the Playmaker Media drama starring Dan Spielman and Ashley Zukerman as journalist and a hacker, who unearth information that those at the highest levels of political power will kill to keep secret.
Deadline reports Sony Pictures TV is developing the project with Justified creator Graham Yost, executive producer / director Michael Dinner and executive producer Fred Golan.
The Australian series won a swag of awards including AACTA Awards, Australian Writers Guild Awards, Australian Directors Guild Awards, plus Logie and Screen Producers Australia Award nominations.
A second season due to air in 2016 with Anthony LaPaglia and Sigrid Thornton.

Yeah, I agree, why do the American’s insist on doing their own versions of our great shows? This series was brilliant so don’t see why they can’t show it.
It is a shame the FOX didn’t run with the Australian version but huge congratulations to the writers and producers regardless, it was a brilliantly crafted tale !
