Pop-up channel MTV Pride returns for Mardi Gras

MTV Dance moves aside for one week with Courtney Act, Joel Creasey & Troye Sivan.

Pop-up channel MTV Pride is returning for the 2016 Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, in place of MTV Dance, from Monday 29th February.

‘VGay’ Courtney Act is back, joined by Joel Creasey, Troye Sivan and Geordie Shore‘s Nathan Henry advocating for marriage equality.

This year MTV Pride has something very special in stall. VGays Courtney, Joel, Troye and Nathan project their individual views on marriage equality in an on-air plea to the Australian prime minister in ‘Hey, Malcom!’ which will repeat on MTV Pride throughout the week.

In addition to hosting countdowns from their favourite Mardi Gras artists, including Sam Smith, Adam Lambert, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Prince, Britney Spears, Queen and Scissor Sisters, the VGays will also be sharing their personal ‘coming out’ stories throughout the week.

MTV Pride will include guest hosted shows with returning VGays Danni Minogue, Paul Mac and Bianca Del Rio. Viewers can also look forward to some seriously cool music programming including, Paul Mac’s Club Classics Top 20, Troye’s Blue Neighbourhood Top 10, Dannii Minogue’s Loud & Proud Top 20, George Michael vs Ricky Marti, #MTVFanWars and more!
