Returning: Easter Appeal

Nine's Adelaide event will feature Eddie Perfect, Kate Ceberano, Thirsty Merc, Reece Mastin, Bob Downe & Nine stars.

Nine (Adelaide) will present its second Easter Appeal on Good Friday to raise funds for the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation.

The prime-time special event, hosted by Eddie Perfect, Kate Collins, Brenton Ragless and Will McDonald, will go to air Live on Channel Nine Adelaide at 7.30pm on Good Friday, March 25, across south-east regional South Australia on the WIN Network, and throughout the Spencer Gulf and in Broken Hill on the Southern Cross Austereo Network. The appeal will also be streamed live on 9Now.com.au.

From the Dunstan Playhouse at the Adelaide Festival Centre, one of Australia’s finest rock bands, Thirsty Merc and high priestess of Australian pop, singer songwriter Kate Ceberano, will co-headline the appeal and perform a number of their respective hit songs to viewers all over South Australia.

Viewers will also be treated to performances by illusionist Michael Boyd, 2015 X-Factor runner-up Louise Adams, recording artist Reece Mastin, Gravity & Other Myths – the physical theatre group off the back of their run at the Adelaide Fringe, Delia Hannah – star of CATS the Musical and musical theatre royalty, AGT Judge and co-artistic director of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival Eddie Perfect, comedian Bob Downe, Adelaide favourite Amity Dry, from the Adelaide Guitar Festival and world-renowned guitarists Slava and Leonard Grigoryan, and music legend Joe Camilleri.

Warren Tredrea from Nine News will join The Advertiser and Sunday Mail’s Matt Gilbertson along with special guest Anne Wills to host the Celebrity Green Room, where they will chat one-on-one with the stars of the appeal throughout the evening.

Nine News’ Tom Rehn and Jessica Braithwaite will host the Celebrity Phone Hub when it returns to the Telstra Contact Centre and stars of Reno Rumble and The Block, plus local identities, will join volunteers to take donations from 4.00pm.

Before the live show begins, at 5.00pm Adelaide doyen of television Anne Wills, along with Matt Gilbertson, will present Countdown to the TeamKids Easter Appeal, taking a closer look at the special children and their families who the appeal raises money for.

The 2016 TeamKids Easter Appeal is aiming to reach $2 million in donations and pledges to help sick South Australian children and their families. The money will go towards the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation, the official charity of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. The foundation and the TeamKids community is committed to ensuring that the hospital, the children and their families have access to the very best medical care and support services at a time they need it most.
