Sorry Paul Barry, no Programming jobs for you just yet.
Contrary to Media Watch rumours Nine might air a 60 Minutes special on its Lebanon debacle next Wednesday, Nine has confirmed a different programme.
Inside the Siege: The Lindt Tapes will air at 7:30pm next Wednesday.
In a Nine News special, Karl Stefanovic will present Inside The Siege: The Lindt Tapes on Wednesday, May 4, at 7.30pm on Channel Nine.
Sixteen months ago Man Monis, murder suspect, religious crackpot and sex offender, took 18 people hostage at Sydney’s Lindt Café.
The nation was transfixed as the siege unfolded in the heart of Australia’s biggest city.
But the full story of what happened is only now emerging as an exhaustive inquest continues.
The evidence is confronting and revealing. It includes unseen security vision, secret police recordings and details of the desperate negotiations.
Now, for the first time, Channel Nine is able to take you inside the Lindt Café, using this remarkable new material to finally complete the dreadful picture of that terrifying 17-hour siege.

Doubtless handled with the usual sensitivity and good taste we have come to expect from commercial television (not).
Do we really need to see graphic new footage. Seems completely unnecessary to me.
Is it safe to assume that there will be a mini-series of this incident come next year? (Depicted in real-time a la 24)
I feel for the families and friends of the hostages, having this regurgitated in pointless detail over and over and over by TV stations. I saw what happened, I heard what happened, I won’t be watching it all over again.
Seven does it its ok Nine does it its wrong.
I Will check it out. You can watch House Rules
Don’t see anyone saying it’s OK if Seven does it. Just think it’s unnecessary, per se.
What? You are aware that there are more than two channels?
This site has such a Seven bias…
Over 9+ years the site has been accused of bias for Seven, Nine, TEN, ABC (not many suggest SBS or Foxtel). Readers are free to favour a show or a network so long as they remain within site policy. People get passionate about TV, it’s why they seek out a dedicated site. The irony is many who accuse bias never seem to acknowledge theirs.
Correct. They all do. Media Spy is the worst.
I think this is in poor taste! I will not be watching!
As I agree with you. Not just disturbing scenes, but also Karl.
I’m picturing the 9 execs watching media watch call them tasteless, ignorant idiots. They think ‘we’ll show them’. and this is the result.
