Foxtel is repeating a discount offer it offered last year to coincide with the anticipated Game of Thrones season.

Customers who sign up to Foxtel Play between 18 April – 29 April can add Premium Movies & Drama to their first $25 a month genre pick for only $5 extra a month for the first three months.

That period will include Season 6 of Game of Thrones, which launches at 11am April 25 on Showcase, same time as the US.

There is also a free 2 week trial available.

Other upcoming titles during this time will include Veep (S5), Orange is the New Black (S4), Penny Dreadful (S3), Hap and Leonard (S1), Turn: Washington’s Spies (S3) and new comedy, Casual; plus the Throne Cast weekly recap.

Seasons 1-5 of Game of Thrones are also available via Foxtel Anytime (on-demand).

Foxtel has the Australian exclusive rights to Game of Thrones until it becomes available on iTunes after the broadcast season has concluded.

  1. So it’s $30 for the first 3 months does that mean I have to sign up for 3? so all up to watch game of thrones it’s $90? Or can I just pay $30 and watch the entire series plus anything else in that month and then cancel are therw any other charges and what devices can I play foxtel play on?

Also I see mention of Hap & Leoonard I’m keen to see that and had wondered who had the rights pity it’s poxtel and not Stan 🙁

  2. I hate that Foxtel is bending over backwards to get new customers with lower prices/deals but those of us who have been with them fro years get nothing, in fact recently they put it up again.

    1. That’s not always the case Craig – they are keen to please their existing customers and stop the churn. I recently rang to remove the Drama pack and they offered it free for 12 months!
