  1. House Rules is getting double the ratings that Reno Rumble got at its peak. I thought they were very similar shows, teams doing houses up to a one week deadline. Given their premise is so similar I wonder why one is rating so much better than the other? How curious. I don’t watch either but I wonder if HR has better production values or less obnoxious contestants or manufactured drama? Something made viewers ignore RR in droves.

  2. bettestreep2008

Massive ratings for The Voice. I just hope people didn’t tune in to see the 16 year old with Tourettes Syndrome. Oh wait. Of course that’s the reason people tuned in. Nine was promoting that to death during the Logies.

    • With a follow up on A Current Affair tonight .. It’s nearly enough to make one swear. I found it funny that another contestant back story is that he could do a Rubik’s cube . Find the back story and endless promotion spoils the premise of show .. Only hearing the voice and nothing else

      • I think the premise is the judges are spared the backstory and only hear the voice. The rest of us blubbering plebs are required to get emotionally involved.

          • All over the world it seems.

On this week’s Family Guy, they sent up the US Voice with Peter saying: “When I set my mind to something anything’s possible, that’s how I got myself on The Voice,” then cut to him auditioning with a teary spiel about his life.
