No surprises here.
Netflix has confirmed a second season for its 80s themed hit series, Stranger Things.
Nine new episodes will air in 2017, one more than the first season.
Writers-creators Matt and Ross Duffer are returning, joining co-executive producers Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen.
“We wanted it to feel like a big movie, so we wanted to resolve that main tension of where Will went and what happened to him,” Matt Duffer said recently. “But there’s a bigger mythology behind what happened, and there’s a lot of dangling trends at the end. So it’s open-ended in a way that if people wanted it and if Netflix wanted it, we could explore it and continue this storyline.”
“We want to retain the tone, but all of our sequels feel a little different,” Ross Duffer has said. “It’s not about just taking another monster — it’s a bigger, badder monster. We want it to feel a little bit different, a little bit darker.”

Great news.. Season 1 was very good.
Loved Season 1, despite Wynona Ryder’s whiney, neurotic character.
She was too much but all the other characters were great.
Look forward to S2.
