Same same but different logo
Have we seen Foxtel's new logo before?

Marketing magazine has noticed a similarity between Foxtel’s new logo, released earlier this month, and one developed by UK design firm Design Project, for print specialist company Team Impression.
Foxtel partnered with design business Maud on the creation of its new visual identity, designed to better reflect Foxtel’s more open and inclusive service offering. The lower case and softer hues are part of a move to appear less arrogant than its former bright orange caps.
Team Impression’s logo was designed in 2015.

On the night before the Foxtel deadline to present the logo, the design firm were googling and found that Team logo and thought “if we flip it and use a different font for foxtel that should be ok – phew – done!”
But wouldn’t you just love to part of TEAM Stationery?
TEAM Greetings would love to welcome the new Foxtel logo into our lives.
The advertisement is even worse!
Promise of Foxtel Go in HD “Early 2017” means nothing to them, take stuff of packages and charge the same. They need more than a change to their logo to restore trust to many of their customers
Fairly ironic from a company relentlessly pursuing copyright infringements. But I tweeted your article at them and they said they don’t think anyone will confuse them with the UK brand.
Lipstick on a pig.
Foxtel can smell the bacon cooking but don’t have the wherewithal to jump out of the frying pan and into the 21st century.
The LifeStyle Channel logo is also a little too similar to the one used for Thomas Cook travel.
I’m not a fan of the new Foxtel logo or color gradients, especially the color on the My Foxtel app.
Same same but rotated.
The logo, or Foxtel? 😉
BTW it’s not rotated, but mirrored over the horizontal axis. Rotated would give a backwards “f” – which may actually have been more appropriate… 😉
I was originally going to say flipped but I’m glad to see there is someone more pedantic than me. 😉
