Her life may be full of drama but who ordered a Mariah drama series?
Starz in the US is developing an untitled fictional scripted series based on her rise to fame.
Written by Nina Colman (Mahogany), the drama is set in 1986 New York City and chronicles the rise of an ambitious bi-racial 16-year-old girl, an aspiring singer-songwriter who survived a difficult childhood to become the biggest selling female music artist of all time.
Carey will executive producing alongside longtime friend Brett Ratner, who as it happens, was business partner with James Packer in RatPac productions until Packer sold his shares some months ago.

Could be worse, it could be a TV Series version of Justin Beiber’s autobiography that came out when he was 16, oh wait I’ve just given Hollywood an idea haven’t I … then again as TISM once sung: If You’re Not Famous At Fourteen, You’re Finished … so carry on I guess.
Wasn’t the 2001 film “Glitter” a story on her life?
Didn’t Mariah’s World flop? #StupidBusinessDecisions
Nooo thanks!!!!
Fictional they say.
I reckon I might watch it if it airs here.
I grow up idolising her. And at present, I am just sad and speechless when I read about her recent news.
*rolling eyes*
Double *eye roll* What a self-serving and narcistic idea.
