Updated: Been wondering what your favourite show has rated but it just never cracks a mention?

There have been over 9100 shows on Free to Air TV in the first half of the 2017 ratings year.

But while My Kitchen Rules, Australian Ninja Warrior and MasterChef Australia may hog the limelight, there are thousands of other titles you just never hear about.

So how did Air Crash Investigations, The Ellen de Generes Show, The Amazing Race, The Mysteries of Laura, Speechless, Kevin Can Wait and Bates Motel rate?

TV Tonight has numbers for every Free to Air show for the first half of the ratings year, until July 15. As a one-off gesture for your undying loyalty this year I’m happy to answer questions on some of those more obscure titles which, until now, I have been unable to report.

If you have a show you have been wondering about leave a comment below and I will do my best.

These numbers are a series average and are based on various codings in either the 5 city metro or regional markets.

Remember, coding is a complicated labyrinth, so answers may not be always be single figure. Numbers will be Overnight unless you request 7 or 28 day Consolidated.

I just ask you to be reasonable in your requests and patient in awaiting replies.

    1. No single figure as a series average, it looks like every game is coded separately. The highest is the grand final pre-game at 347k and game at 293k. Most rankings seem to hover around 90k or below.

  10. For any sports fans out there who watch a lot of daytime tv on Sundays….

    Offsiders (ABC), Sports Sunday (Nine), Full Cycle (Nine), InCycle (SBS)

    Are The Sunday Footy Show’s ratings combined like their Thursday night counterparts (AFL with NRL)?

  11. Just wondering numbers for Frasier 6pm & malcolm in the middle. Interested to see the difference in numbers before and after Neighbours.

    How is Letters and Numbers rating (at 5.30pm on SBS)? Curios to see how it goes against the other game shows.
    Also, how is The Feed rating on SBS2/Viceland?

      1. See that’s interesting, because the host said on a podcast last week that most of his viewers watch the segments on social media rather than on Viceland live (he claimed up to 4 million views).

        2. 4m Views is not viewers per episode. That sounds like server figures for total number of streams of segments, by people around the world, over some period of time covering many episodes. With multiple attempts to watch counting as multiple views.

          The Oztam’s VPM figures will give a number that represents unique viewers watching 30 minutes worth, which can be compared better to TV Ratings.

  18. I’m wondering how the music show Rage rates please. It might be tricky because it’s coded into its various timeslots, however, an average or any figures that are available for the highest rating timeslot would be interesting. Thank you
