French drama about the world of gold trafficking gets a second season.

French drama Ouro: Amazon Gold was recently renewed for a second season by Canal+.
The series follows a 20-year-old geology student who travels to French Guyana for an internship but quickly becomes embroiled in the dangerous but potentially lucrative world of gold trafficking.
An 8 part season has begun shooting and is due to wrap up filming at the end of April 2018.
Ouro screens on SBS in Australia.

Utterly unlikeable and uncharismatic lead character-was consigned as a 1st run, late night/early morning filler on SBS and rightly so.
It wasn’t the most brilliant series I’ve ever seen, but it was a nice change of pace from the constant stream of shows replicating the Killing.
