Nine Perth will screen a special, The Amazing South Coast, hosted by Kate Mac, showcasing Albany, Mount Barker, Denmark and Walpole
Premiering Friday, January 19, at 7.35pm on Channel Nine, this local special will take you on a journey to discover Albany’s historic charm and astonishing natural surroundings, the majestic beauty of the Mount Barker region, and the spectacular forests and coastal delights of Denmark and Walpole.
We visit the stunning National Anzac Centre overlooking the harbour from where over 41,000 men and women departed for the First World War, and take a tour of Albany’s Historic Whaling Station, the only experience of its kind in the world.
We walk among the giants in our stunning Tingle forests on the tree top walk, take in the captivating coastal beauty of Denmark’s Greens Pool and Elephant Cove, and climb to the summit of the Porongurup’s extraordinary Castle Rock skywalk.
Host Kate Mac will explore these and more natural wonders and discover an abundance of activities that will have you heading back for more.
Kate also checks out the delicious diversions and taste temptations the region offers, including award-winning restaurants, vineyards, breweries and distilleries, all inspired by the unique flavours found only in this amazing part of WA.
