  1. Wow! Bachelorette and now Married At First Sight are on fire, unstoppable. A shame for Nine it’s come to an end. Should’ve produced way more episodes. Those demographics are unbelievable, when does it ever beat sport, close to 1m in 25 to 54. Overtaking this years Australian Open on all fronts (although 2017 with Federer was double, 2.7m). Credit to Endemol Shine and everyone else involved.

    MKR held up really well, everything considered.

    Ten fell into the deep, deep.

    • Disagree about producing more episodes. It risks diluting the ratings in the long term. Hopefully they learn from MKR, which is now paying the price for overdosing the audience…on too many promos and too many episodes. Don’t get me wrong….MKR still does well. But not the momentum or water cooler talk of MAFS any more. And while staleness from longevity is a factor, viewer fatigue from too many episodes is as well.

    • I’m sorry, I can’t give credit to Endemol Shine for producing this type of television. Viewer numbers are not the only measure of quality.

      • “Quality” is an entirely subjective thing. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Pretty much all the viewers on Gogglebox were bouncing up and down on their sofas with huge smiles on their faces every time MAFS came onto their screens this year (and if I recall last year too)!

  2. MKR:
    The 2 Vietnamese ladies did so well last night. Happy for them 🙂
    How much longer will Seven dangle that promo in front of viewers and now still nothing happened and promo getting worse. Promises for after the Commonwealth Games LOL. 7 have pushed this past the limits of viewer endurance. The show will pay a ratings price for that silly carry on. A cooking show that has turned into Days of our Lives by stretching things too far.
