Rob Raschke on good behaviour bond

Former SKY News executive editor on 12 months good behaviour after pleading guilty to assault.

Former SKY News executive editor Rob Raschke has been placed on good behaviour after pleading guilty to assaulting his wife, Rachel, in February.

Raschke, who resigned in March, was placed on a 12-month good behaviour bond this week with no conviction was recorded.

The Australian reports Magistrate Greg Grogin took into consideration good character and “obvious contrition and remorse”, along with the fact he had taken positive steps to rehabilitate himself by seeking counselling and support for alcohol problems.

Character references included statements by Seven Commercial Director Bruce McWilliam,  reporter Rahni Sadler and former Seven presenter Talitha Cummins.

McWilliam noted he had spoken to Rachel Raschke “and they are united in facing this together.”
