Hmmmm interesting the ratings pattern is still roughly following what happened Thursday to Thursday as it did Monday to Monday last year (even wioth a week later start this year) , as in Masterchef slightly down: 2017: 917,000. 2018: 910,000. House Rules a bit more down: 2017: 645,000. 2018: 624,000 from: https://tvtonight.com.au/2017/05/wednesday-3-may-2017.html
Biggest difference is with the ABS as no Home Delivery or Gruen, instead it was Ahn’s Brush with Fame on 588,000 in comparison, though it appears it didn’t hurt The Weekly as 2017: 545,000. 2018: 550,000, so even with better lead in figures with Gruen The Weekly did roughly the same (loyal audience perhaps and few new takers).
Sorry David I really must start proof reading before hitting reply, of course that’s Wednesday to Wednesday and ABS is ABC.
WolfieBoy Love your reason behind the Qld figures for HR Should get comment of the week (made me laugh any way)
I loved it too. I wish there was a ‘like’ button option on the comments. Any chance of that happening in the future David?
He he – German born Aussies can be a cheeky lot. How dare we have a sense of humour. When I see the fake drama and the non building types they cast for these productions, I cringe and say to myself “They would have to pay me a million dollars just to risk a house viewing in what the build. We all know that real builders do the real work but I hate all this pretence and bulldust TV networks expose us to these days. Thus my love for Masterchef. I fully realise that some people get very upset when Network Ten as logical channel 13 does well on any ratings day. I actually celebrate as it can only lead to better quality TV in the long run 🙂
Brisbane is the only city where House Rules beat Masterchef. It’s not even a QLD house being renovated either. ?
Some Queenslanders have to re-build their homes after every cyclone, so they need to learn all about renovation from those highly educational programmes on 9 & 7 😉 On a more serious note – 10 is not a popular network in Queensland, not even when Big Brother was made on the Gold Coast, so not surprised by that information you posted.
That’s a ridiculous statement as the ratings referred to are for Brisbane and Brisbane has probably never had a cyclone and certainly not in the 25 years I have lived here.
I think Wolfie was just joking.
As was indicated by the wink but some people do not have any sense of humour and that is a fact.
Has flooded though…
MasterChef easily defeating the competition, over 900k and more importantly getting fantastic demographics, incredible for a cooking show in its tenth year. Great start for Ten
Agreed – viewers are sick & tired of manipulations and manufactured drama. They are voting with their remotes. Expect an overload of dramatic Promo’s on the wedding weekend to try and lure viewers back to 7 & 9.
Too late she cried – me thinks and hopes. We may just get some decent shows back on FTA TV.
Without our Foxtel our TV would not be on much right now. We don’t watch current affair rubbish nor much news. We like to be entertained not depressed all night 🙂
Nine has now killed the momentum of YS and TBBT, both rating 900k+ now both just above and below 600k….Well done Nine…..Again!!!!!
agree i luv big bang theory and young Sheldon channel nine always stuff this program up well done channel nine again i wish it would go to channel seven go big bang
