  1. As usual. Thanks for the heads up David. Stayed up and watched this last night. Absolutely loved it! Turned the sound up a little too loud for past midnight so thank god my partner is a heavy sleeper haha.
Saw Blondie live at the Palais a few years ago. Can’t believe Deborah is in her 70’s now. You wouldn’t have guessed watching her on stage. She can still belt out a tune and has lost nothing of her sultry 1970’s persona.

  2. Dreaming, The Hardest Part, Victor, Shayla… All iconic songs and videos included on the Eat to the Beat CD, video and DVD but missing from Rage. Why?

  3. Thanks for this David. 1978 was such a seminal year for pop music. Kate Bush, Meat Loaf, Joan Armatrading, Blondie, Saturday Night Fever, Grease.

  4. Yeah, a real shame they’ve omitted ‘One Way Or Another’ from the playlist. Don’t think there was ever an official film clip but Rage could have sourced any number of live performances.
Will def be watching – have always been a huge Blondie fan, especially in their early days. So many great songs and Debbie was just so cool and drop-dead gorgeous back in the day. Such an inspiration for many female bands/artists to come.
Double J is also featuring a Blondie special at the moment -podcast is available for the next week or so…

  5. Parts of Blondie’s guest programming from a few years ago is included in the special. Where’s their song One Way Or Another? I quite like the name Toilet Boys. “rage” will be having a special on Kate Bush this Monday night / Tuesday morning.
