Fetch TV adds more beIN SPORTS channels

Triple channel sports channel from Fetch offers football, rugby and tennis.

Fetch TV has announced a new sports pack with all three beIN SPORTS channels with football, rugby and tennis.

Fetch previously offered 1 of their channels but the new sports pack at $19.99 a month carries a $14.95introductory offer until the end of September.

The beIN SPORTS channels will be broadcast in HD* with no requirement for subscribers to have any pre-requisite channel packs, making this a compelling offer for football fans.

Fetch Subscribers will have access to beIN SPORTS’ full comprehensive line up of premium sports, including:

• Football: Serie A, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, English Championship, Carabao Cup and more.
• International Test rugby: Wallabies & All Blacks November tests, 6 Nations

It’s easy to think that sports broadcasting could become a bit aggravating for sports fans in the future, some foretaste of this was the World Cup football rights which became a bit of a dogs breakfast untill the full coverage went to it’s natural home on the SBS. With a relatively small population Australian’s do need some certainty of where to source their entertainment or it could become a too many cooks spoil the broth situation, unfortunately the increasing commercial competition between the telcos makes this very unlikely.

If Fetch could somehow work a way to get the streaming rights for AFL (and NRL for those viewers) off Telstra or at the least get a deal to show it via Telstra (adding their App to the the Fetch Apps section), it would be wonderful to have. Even if just as a seasons pass type of deal and to get fullscreen instead of the limited Telstra screen size, which even doesn’t like you screen mirroring.
