Former cast mark 10 years since Packed to the Rafters

"Miss these guys" says Rebecca Gibney as former cast take to social media to mark a decade since their debut.

Former cast members from Packed to the Rafters took to social media this week to mark 10 years since the show launched on Seven.

Actors including Rebecca Gibney, Erik Thomson, Zoe Ventoura, and Jess McNamee all reflected on the anniversary.

The show which launched on August 26 2008 and ran until July 2013, remains one of the country’s all-time favourite dramas.

“Miss these guys,” Gibney reflected.

Won’t somebody think of Carbo…?

So apparently it’s 10 years since Packed To The Rafters premiered ? I remember the morning after, upon hearing that 2 million people watched, asking our producer @joporter_ “Is that good?” and she said “Yes, Zoë, that’s very good”. Thanks to everyone who watched and supported us, it changed my life and gave me a whole new family that I cherish to this day ❤️

So @rebeccagibney_ just reminded us that it was 5 years ago today we filmed our last scene on this brilliant show Packed To The Rafters… @joporter_ you are such a genius for assembling the best team, crew, writers, cast and scripts… we were a family. Together over the years we created characters that grew up in front of Australia and gave us members of a family whom we aspired to be more like; Julie, Dave, Rach, Nath, Ruby and of course Ben, all of them beautiful, loving and humble… I loved my time as Ben, every bit from the first read through to our last scene. I remember the first day on the pilot, the first scene we shot was you and I Bec, I was so nervous and young, we did each set up in one take… it was ace from the start! ?? #packedtotherafters

  1. You know, it PTTR aired back in the glory days 90s/2000s, would’ve got a run on par with or broken Blue Heelers / All Saints / Prisoner I reckon.

Marvellous, warm and top notch script, acted and quality Aussie true blue show. Miss it too.
