ABC will broadcast a service to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Australian work on Hellfire Pass and completion of the Thai-Burma Railway.
Australia Remembers: Hellfire Pass will air Live from the Australian Ex-Prisoners of War Memorial in Ballarat.
Fremantle is also developing a high end drama based on The Narrow Road to the Deep North. It is written by Australian author, Richard Flanagan, whose father was taken prisoner by the Japanese and forced to work on the Thailand-Burma railway.
11am Tuesday October 16 on ABC.
