Season 2 of Victoria, featuring Jenna Coleman & Tom Hughes, begins next week on ABC.
The 8 episodes see the impulsive young queen face the very modern challenge of balancing a growing family with her husband and her work – all while being the ruler of the most powerful nation on earth.
This aired on Pay TV in September 2017, and has been renewed for a third season.
As Victoria’s (Jenna Coleman) reign continues into the 1840s, her kingdom is witness to extraordinary events.
Constitutional crises and scandalous romances blossoming at court; the rise of the Chartist movement; the devastating Irish Potato Famine; and perilous diplomatic relations that see Victoria travelling to France to try her hand at foreign policy.
Queen Victoria and Prince Albert (Tom Hughes) brave each trial on the world stage while also confronting profound personal changes. Facing down loss and betrayal against a dizzying backdrop of their expanding family, royal duties and an adventure to Scotland, they must renegotiate the balance of power in their passionate marriage if they are to thrive as the world’s most influential partnership.
