Swedish drama Greyzone will have its broadcast premiere on SBS next week.

This is a 10 part series about the events leading up to a terror attack in Scandinavia.

Previously available at SBS On Demand it begins with a double episode, in Danish and Swedish with English subtitles.

The series follows Victoria, a drone engineer, who is taken hostage by terrorists while the Secret Services in Denmark and Sweden fight against the clock to prevent an attack. A series of dangerous events are set into motion in this high octane thriller, and Victoria (Birgitte Hjort Sørensen, Borgen, Pitch Perfect 2) is soon thrown into a world of danger.

Series One, Episode One: The Takeover
When the Swedish Security Police, SÄPO, retains a suspicious truck headed from Denmark to Gothenburg, Sweden, SÄPO officer Eva Forsberg makes a terrifying discovery – a fully armed air-to-ground missile.

Episode Two: First Mission
Victoria wakes up confused, scared, and with her hands tied on her back. Iyad shows her a live feed of her son, Oskar. If she doesn’t do what he asks her to, Oskar will be killed. A terrified Victoria sees no other way than to do what he tells her.

  1. Yet another ‘terrorist’ series from the nordic networks,the undiminished political anger in Europe is certainly offering some intriguing drama offerings. On the positive side these shows also keep all those familiar Swedish and Danish contract actors commonly seen on the SBS employed.
