I Am the Night coming to Stan

Six part drama inspired by true events stars Chris Pine & India Eisley.

Stan has picked up six-part period drama I Am the Night in which a young girl sets out to uncover the secrets of her past and ends up following a trail close to the Black Dahlia slaying.

The series inspired by true events stars Chris Pine, India Eisley and is directed by Patty Jenkins (Wonder Woman).

It is due to screen on Stan in January, with new episodes same day as the US.

The series, which is inspired by true events, tells the gripping story of Fauna Hodel (Eisley), a teenage girl who is given away at birth, and grows up outside of Reno, Nevada. Fauna lives more-or-less comfortably with the mysteries of her origin, until one day she makes a discovery that leads her to question everything. As Fauna begins to investigate the secrets of her past, she meets a ruined reporter (Pine), haunted by the case that undid him. Together they follow a sinister trail that swirls ever closer to an infamous Los Angeles gynecologist, Dr. George Hodel (Mays), a man involved in some of Hollywood’s darkest debauchery, and possibly, its most infamous unsolved crime.

  1. After seeing only episode 1 (the pilot) of ‘I am the night’, I am left wanting to see more —-But !
The story is intriguing. The vintage era ,comes across well. The acting is fine, though a couple of times the dialogue is hard to catch. My problem is that the ‘continuity’ during scenes is —-pathetic. There are at least 10 glaring mistakes of props jumping around, disappearing and showing up again.
I found myself playing the game of looking for errors and they are everywhere. I was going to list a few but blind Freddie will pick them easily. Is it watch the story, or play the game.
    Unfortunate, but I’ll still watch.

      1. David is not blind Freddie, just a hard worker.
The gin bottle is quarter full then refils at the 17.20
Between the 21.09 and the 26.30 mark the cup and the cigarettes keep jumping and moving and disappearing many times eg cig thrown onto tv , then back in hand.
at 27.00 The man smoking 3rd in line jumps across.
at 27.30. the newspaper s right across the boot then moves.
at 33.28 flash not on his chest — 33.29 flash on chest
33.50 suddenly where is the flash gone.
34.00 –lots of blood —- 34.20 no blood 42.00 blood on nose
Anyway , as it is a true story, you know it is about to get really sinister so go with the story.
