    • As much as you want it to be, it is in no way a flop. And of course it was going to get by the tennis, are you for real? If you want look at a real flop take a look at the cricket ratings this year.

  1. People get to like commentators & they way a network presents sport. All the changes this year has made viewers angry. Ten had the best deal for Big Bash and it should have stayed with them. Instead 7 took it but can’t show all games, End result unhappy viewers and we want it in HD not compromised SD bit rates. Get it Seven Network 🙁

  2. Congratulations channel 9 for a great coverage of the Australian Open. Channel 7 always did a great job too but I think 9 had an excellent commentary team and not having the boring Bruce McAvaney was a bonus.

    • I’ll say it again and again, Bruce was best as a caller at the Aus Open during the 90s, I felt in later 2000s he started to get a bit carried away and how we know him as his often goofy-self now, coming with the territory I suppose of being a mega sports broadcast star with everything else Seven have had (Olympics, AFL, Comm Games, Melbourne Cup).

Bruce I found was a better host in his later Open years.

JA was always the best caller, even in his later days with Jim Courier, a shame he went into politics and now is hated by many.

      • “7 only had BB on”. That which 7 paid so much for to take it away from 10. Scored half the audience that 10 pulled and less than a “Vera” repeat on ABC.

      • And they didn’t adjust to the Test Cricket not being on very well as the BBL Match was on Both 7 and 7Mate (in Melbourne at least), thought they would have put something else on 7Mate and put a ticker across the screen to tell people it was moved to 7 (in HD).
