This Saturday night Australia will choose its 2019 representative for the Eurovision Song Contest.
10 artists are assembling on the Gold Coast this week for Eurovision: Australia Decides to screen Live on SBS at 8:30pm AEDT around the country. If you’re out of the country, the show will also stream Live from SBS on Facebook and Twitter at 9:30am GMT.

SBS Saturday February 9 (Live in all states):
NSW/VIC/TAS/ACT 8:30pm – 11:00pm AEDT
QLD 7:30pm – 10:00pm AEST
SA 8:00pm – 10:30pm ACDT
WA 5:30pm – 8:00pm AWST
NT 7:00pm – 9:30pm ACST
Voting:
Live voting on songs will take place from 1am AEDT Saturday Feb 9 (with clips available at SBS) and close during Saturday’s Live show.
A jury comprises 50% of the vote with the public choosing the other 50%.
A winner will be announced at the end of the Live Saturday show.
To register an SMS vote, voters must text the song number (as promoted in program) of their favourite Act to 1991 3773. Premium SMS must be enabled to vote. Voting costs $0.55 per vote and the maximum number of votes is 20 per mobile phone provider. By casting a valid vote for Eurovision – Australia Decides voters will automatically be entered into the “Eurovision – Australia Decides – Win the Ultimate Trip to the Gold Coast!” competition.

There are three ticketed shows. Friday the 8th of February is the Jury Preview Show and Saturday the 9th is the Matinee Preview Show and Live TV Final. More info is here.

In the lucky event Australia wins, the 2020 contest would then be hosted by Australia in Europe in partnership with a European broadcaster. It will not be held in Australia.

Ummm. Wow. How completely underwhelming are all those songs. If that’s the best we have then we really should pull out of this competition.
I’m surprised Courtney’s is on top here, first one I’ve seen where shes got a decent lead over 3rd place and below. Its definitely between 4 names, based on other polls the same ones are at top. Kate’s my fave.
Interesting to see Courtney Act at the top of the TV Tonight poll. I would love her to win, but I don’t think the song is upbeat enough.
We have the best party planned for this Saturday night, really looking forward to it. Friends in Sweden have asked me to live stream it for them lol. Thankfully only one night, not like Melodifestivalen dragging on for 4 weeks
