Renewed: Black-ish

US dramedy Black-ish has been renewed for a sixth season.

The series follows married couple Andre Johnson (Anthony Anderson) and Rainbow Johnson (Tracee Ellis Rose) as they raise a middle class family and grapple with personal and sociopolitical issues.

US network ABC also confirmed spin-off project Mixed-ish (that’s kinda hard to say) is also proceeding.

This one will revolve around Rainbow in her youth as she struggles with staying true to herself after moving to the suburbs from a hippie commune and will confront the difficulties of Bow’s mixed race as she grows up in the 80’s.

Black-ish airs in Australia on Seven.
