12 Comments:

  1. The Front Bar defeats a much hyped rugby league match nationally and completely slays the AFL footy show. The one true king of Australian sports TV.

    • Varies quite a bit across the country though. 278,000 in Melbourne, but almost nothing in Sydney and Brisbane (less than 20,000 each) where 9’s NRL was showing.

      • It’s not that they have “gone back to not reporting them”, Nine does not code to include them and never has. This has been raised with them. You may see some preliminary merging of numbers over the weekend, but you will see once updated with OzTAM official they are actually not merged.

      • Thanks, David – strange 7 seem to do it all the time
Dr Rudi – in Sydney and Brisbane AFL screens on 7mate and is always included.

    • The front bar is big in Melbourne and pretty much nowhere else. The NRLs total audience was close to a million across all tv platforms.

  2. Clem_Melbourne

Checked the TV Guide and MasterChef goes to 9:45 Next Thursday compared to 8:40 last night which seems quite long for a MasterChef Episode.

    • Yep the only interest in The Footy Show now is if Nine act on it straight away or wait until The Ashes in England start on Thurs Aug 01st and let it quietly fade away, as even in Melbourne they’d likely stick with the NRL on GEM than put The Footy show there.

N.B: Yes The World Cup Cricket starts on Thursday May 30th, however Nine are only showing Australia’s Games and the first for that is Saturday June 01st at 10:30pm, first Thursday 7:30pm match is June 05th and the next June 26th and they’re the only 2 on Thursdays (all times = aest).
