Returning: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

The fourth and final season of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has a timeslot on 10 Peach -but it is as absurd as they come.

It will premiere at 2:20am Sunday morning August 4.

“I Want to Be Here” debuted in the US in October.

Set your PVR just in case it isn’t added to 10 Play.

  1. I’m looking forward to finally being able to watch the final season of Rebecca’s musical dramedy journey. TV is going to be all the poorer now that Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Jane the Virgin are finished / finishing.

Is there any reason it wouldn’t be on 10 Play? That’s how I normally watch Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (and most Network 10 shows), despite the catch-up app being truly awful.

    • My guess is that it would require a higher licensing fee (in addition to the standard broadcasting license), and 10 just want to burn it off at this point (hence the ridiculous timeslot) as I assume that they would have cut a deal where they would already have paid for the rights to air the show well in advance, so they may as well air it and put it to rest.

It wouldn’t surprise me if it hops from night to night, timeslot to timeslot throughout the rest of the season, nor would it surprise me if they play it every night just so 10 can be rid of it.

  2. Madness. I’m surprised you hadn’t mentioned the hilarious irony of the episode title as well. 😛

And I completely agree with Nathan. Surely there’s a place for this in primetime as opposed to the endless reruns of Rules of Engagement, Two and a Half Men, Sex and the City, Everybody Loves Raymond, Frasier, King of Queens, and now Seinfeld as well.

A so-called youth-oriented channel should be filled to the brim with fresh (or at least recent) content. This is just laughable.

  3. It occurred to me that CEG would possibly work well in 10Peach’s schedule alongside Funny Girls (NZ sketch show) on Thursday night, which I’ve been enjoying. But apparently not.

  4. In the myriad of repeats of 90s and 00’s sitcoms, old movies, 70’s cop shows and comedy festivals they couldn’t find a halfway decent timeslot.
