Spicks & Specks specials returning to ABC

Break out the hair wax, ABC has confirmed Adam Hills, Myf Warhurst and Alan Brough will be back for more Spicks and Specks for an Ausmusic Month special in November -and 3 more to come in 2020.
Hills had previously told TV Tonight, if a return was offered with his co-stars he would “happily come back this time next year …”
“From the moment Alan, Myf and I were together in a room for last year’s Spicks and Specks Reunion Special, we had each other in fits of laughter. Any time I can spend with those two fools is time well spent, and if it takes four more specials to make that happen – so be it,” Hills said today.
“The response to last year’s show was overwhelming, both in the studio when we filmed it, and at home when it went to air. Spicks and Specks has a special place in our hearts, and I’m genuinely excited to make a few more specials for the ABC.”
In 2020 a further three specials will air. Having already staged 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s specials they] team now plan to delve into music of “the 90’s, noughties and the as-yet-unnamed 2010s. All music will be covered – from Spice Girls to Sia, from Nirvana to King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, from Coldplay to… sadly, more Coldplay.”

Excellent news. Just hopes Brexit doesn’t happen before filming so we get to see the beard that he is growing for Brexit (watch The Last Leg and you will know what I am talking about).

I still watch the reruns on ABC2. Even after all this time it’s still more entertaining than most of the crap on the commercial stations.
