The 6 wives of Paul Robinson

Exclusive: Paul Robinson turns Henry VIII in a playful new promo with former TV wives.

EXCLUSIVE: TV Tonight can reveal a playful new promo for Neighbours featuring Paul Robinson as King Henry VIII with his ‘six wives.’

Gail Lewis (Fiona Corke) returns to the soap this week with Lyn Scully (Janet Andrewartha), Rebecca Napier (Jane Hall), Christina Alessi (Gayle Blakeney) and Caroline Alessi (Gillian Blakeney, not in the promo) returning next week.

Jason Herbison, Executive Producer told TV Tonight, “Paul Robinson is the king of Ramsay Street, and just like Henry VIII, he’s about to notch up a sixth bride.

“It felt like the perfect time to summon all the wives back to the royal court for a good old fashioned roasting – with Paul’s head on the spit. It was amazing to revisit all the characters and explore the impact Paul had on their lives, and still has today. Watching them all on set, I dare say, it was a bit like this is your life for Stefan Dennis – or should I say this is your wife?”

6:30pm weeknights on 10 Peach.

  1. This is so corny, but the decision to have all of the wives return seems unlikely in theory, and yet here we are. Brilliant stuff.

Great to see Fiona Corke back as Gail, who Stefan has said repeatedly was his favourite onscreen wife. She also doesn’t appear to have aged a day since her last appearance.

And their son, Robert, appeared briefly a month ago (with no dialogue!) which felt really anticlimactic after 12 years.

And Paul only had a fling with the other Alessi twin, right?

  2. OMG! Brilliant! Too much!! This is why I love ‘Neighbours’ and their quirky ways. Along with the all female creatives and cast for National Women’s Day and their tribute to the former ‘Prisoner’ cast. Tongue in cheek brilliance!
