2019 UK mystery that centres around a murder on CCTV comes to ABC.

2019 UK mystery The Capture screens on ABC from tonight.

Set in present-day London, it stars Holliday Grainger as Detective Inspector Rachel Carey, who is assigned to arrest and charge United Kingdom Special Forces Lance Corporal Shaun Emery (Callum Turner), who is looking to clear his name of a horrific crime supposedly captured by CCTV.

Written and directed by Ben Chanan, the 6 part drama also features Laura Haddock, Ben Miles, Paul Ritter and Ron Perlman.

This premiered in the UK in September to positive reviews.

8:30pm tonight on ABC.

  1. ‘The Capture’ title is a bit misleading when interpreting the plot, but this show is a good binge watch and closely resembles the feel of ‘The Bodyguard’ in how it is written including having an ex military veteran suffering from PTSD and trying to reconnect to his broken family.
    As CCTV is always the primary focus of attention throughout the series there was the feeling that the impost of public surveillance in the UK was making the shows clandestine story arc secondary to creating a political debate about Britain’s draconian national security issues.

  2. Been waiting for this since it aired in the U.K as a few reviews suggested it was better than ‘The Bodyguard’.

    Looks good. Hopefully they don’t go over the top with the Big Brother stuff.

    1. Saw this last year, glad it’s coming to ABC. Definitely goes well over the top – but was quite enjoyable and kept you guessing. A definite self isolation watch
