Wendy & Nikki win Pooch Perfect

Mother & daughter take out the title in Seven's struggling Rebel Wilson series.

Pet salon owner Wendy and daughter Nikki have won the debut season of Pooch Perfect.

The Hunter Region duo took out a $100,000 prize and series title in a grand final which aired last night on Seven.

They defeated NSW stylists Alicia & Michaela.

Seven’s series, hosted by Rebel Wilson, has struggled in the ratings, launching at 697,000 Timeshifted viewers, but last week averaging just 259,000 in Overnights. Despite this Seven Studios has sold the format to the BBC, to be hosted by actress Sheridan Smith.

Prior to the series launch Wendy mused on what she might do if she won.

“I have been thinking of writing and publishing a book and I wouldn’t mind a cruise holiday, so I might put some prize money towards that,” she said.

Nikki added, “If we win, Wendy is going to shout me a kitchen for my new house!”

  1. David , I think we can safely change ” debut season” to ” final season” don’t you reckon ?
This will definately be the lowest ever ratings for a Finale for a new reality series no doubt.
The whole sad misguided mess of a show recalls the old saying about going out not with ” a bang – but a ( dog’s ) whimper.”

  2. We watch the show for the first time last night, really bad editing, scripts and the dogs look like they were being prepared for dinner real bad show, can understand the poor viewerships.
